We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing patient samples, operating laboratory equipment, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring quality standards are followed. The Lab Technician will work closely with Pathologists, Doctors, and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic reports and support quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Collect blood, urine, sputum, stool, and other patient samples following standard protocols.
Perform routine laboratory tests in hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, serology, immunology, and clinical pathology.
Prepare and process specimens for testing and analysis.
Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
Ensure accuracy of laboratory results by following quality control procedures.
Maintain proper documentation of test results and laboratory records.
Follow infection control and laboratory safety protocols.
Monitor laboratory inventory and ensure adequate stock of reagents and consumables.
Label, store, and dispose of specimens safely according to healthcare guidelines.
Assist Pathologists and physicians with diagnostic procedures when required.
Report abnormal findings to the supervising Pathologist or physician.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
