We are looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Hospital Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing prescribed medications, ensuring safe and effective medication management, maintaining pharmacy inventory, counseling patients on proper medicine usage, and collaborating with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Dispense prescription medications accurately according to doctor's prescriptions.
Verify prescriptions for dosage, drug interactions, contraindications, and allergies.
Counsel patients on the safe use, dosage, storage, and possible side effects of medications.
Maintain adequate inventory of medicines, medical supplies, and pharmaceutical products.
Monitor medicine expiry dates and ensure proper storage conditions.
Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff regarding medication availability and treatment plans.
Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, pharmacy regulations, and legal requirements.
Handle controlled drugs and narcotic medications as per statutory guidelines.
Monitor adverse drug reactions (ADR) and medication errors.
Assist in procurement and stock management of pharmaceutical products.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy.
Participate in medication safety initiatives and quality improvement programs.
